Better questions lead to healthier plants.
Plantwise is an English-language editorial product built to help home growers understand what a plant needs, why a problem is happening, and what to try next. Every guide shows its editorial attribution, its update date, and the sources behind each recommendation.
Useful before impressive.
Plantwise organizes care advice around observable signals: light at the leaf, moisture in the root zone, seasonal change, and the plant's own response. We do not publish a fixed watering schedule, because the same species can need water twice a week in one room and every ten days in another. Instead we teach readers to read the plant.
Each published guide shows its editorial attribution, its publication and update dates, and the accountable sources used to prepare the guidance. When a claim cannot be supported by a checked source, we say so plainly rather than guessing.
See the editorial processA transparent editorial team.
Plantwise guidance is prepared by the editorial team working to a documented process: writers draft in plain language, fact-checkers verify every recommendation against its source, and content passes through the review steps described on our editorial process page.
We only credit a named expert reviewer when a real, qualified specialist has completed and documented that review. Until such reviewers are confirmed, attribution stays with the editorial team — we never present a fictional person as an expert.

Check the evidence yourself.
Priority sources include university cooperative-extension programs, botanical gardens, government agencies, professional horticultural associations, and peer-reviewed literature. Sources are linked directly on each guide so readers can verify the evidence behind every recommendation.
Plant toxicity claims are matched species-by-species against ASPCA and botanical-source data, not stated generically. Pet-safety conclusions are tied to the exact botanical species named on each profile.

Even reviewed guides can become outdated. Each guide shows its last-updated date. If you find a factual issue, a broken source, or a safety concern, email corrections@plantwise.top with the page URL and the passage in question. Material corrections are reviewed and incorporated promptly, and the update date is refreshed.
